Workplace tasks can be particularly challenging if they rely heavily on verbal communication. Adults with auditory processing difficulties may struggle with: following phone calls and virtual meetings or presentations; participating in discussions in open offices with constant background noise; taking notes while listening to the presenter or speaker; processing instructions that are delivered quickly without written follow-up.
